¡Feliz lunes!  Hope you are all outside enjoying the sol!

 
Today we interpreted our compañeros’ menus del dia:  please clarify any questions you have before next class so you will be ready for the interpretive task!
 

We did some MAD LIBS (muy chistosos) to practice the stem changing verbs, irregular preterites, and vocab.

 
We did a final practice for IDOPs- study STUDY for the quiz next class!

 
We went on an ‘aventura virtual’ to practice appropriate responses for waiters’ questions!

Draw in vocabulario on your BUENO board on página 16 (Actividades y Cultura).

Complete worksheet on IDOPs and COME IN FOR QUESTIONS! (This was passed out in class - please pick it up if you were absent!)

el 15/16 de mayo

¡Qué rico!  We spent some time today celebrating Spain’s culture by sharing some delicious tapas!

We practiced answering questions with Indirect Object Pronouns with tableros.  If you are not feeling confident with IOPs, please come see us!

We did partner activities to practice interpreting Menís del Día and having a conversation with the server.


The homework for tonight is Actividades y Cultura page 21.  If you were  not here to get inspiration for creating your menu, please use foods from www.tienda.com/recipes to make your menu del dia.

Feliz viernes! 

Today we played Chispita to practice spelling aloud J

We reviewed the Indirect Object Pronoun a LOT today- if you are having a hard time please come in and talk to me or email me at autumnslosser@waunakee.k12.wi.us to set up a time to come in and chat- I would LOVE to help you get on track!

We started an activity about how to respond to questions- please ask a friend or come see me for the notes at the top of A+C p. 19.

We learned about menús del día and worked with groups to see how we would react to different menús. 

We also did the final sign up for the Tapas crawl- if you have not signed up yet, please come in and do so ASAP!  The tapas crawl is on the 15th (A) and 16th (B) de mayo, and you need to bring in your dish all ready to serve, your card, and $1 for supplies.  You may bring in your money early if you are nervous about forgetting.

el 5 / 6 de mayo

Today we started a series of pronunciation exercises in class using the vocales (AEIOU).

We learned about how common Spanish foods are made and did a comparison with Mexican foods and traditions for Cinco de Mayo.  Remember-  CINCO DE MAYO IS NOT MEXICO’S INDEPENDENCE DAY! :) 

We practiced conjugating stem-changing verbs in the present and preterit.  Please make sure to check online that you have the correct notes!

We started a practice on the indirect object pronouns- make sure you bring the half sheets to next class!

Next class we will also be signing up for foods for the TAPAS crawl on the 15th and 16th.  Make sure to find your recipes at http://www.tienda.com/recipes/recipes.html

If you want to sign up with a partner, make sure to coordinate this before next class! 

You will NOT need to multiply this recipe for the whole class, as everyone is bringing in food.

el 1/2 de mayo

¡Feliz Viernes! 
Today in class, we took grammar notes on Direct Object Pronouns (review)  and Indirect Object Pronouns (new) in the Paquete de Gramática U8 p 3-5.  Notes are on Moodle.  Both people who were in class and were not should make sure they have the correct notes!

We learned about ‘Las Horas de Comer en Espana.’  If you missed the notes are on Moodle as well. 

We learned vocabulary for ‘Carne y Mariscos.’  Make sure these sections of vocab are filled out.
 
We passed out the rubric for our presentational task:  The tapas crawl.  We will be making tapas and eating them here in class!  You may work alone or with a partner.  Please start thinking about what you would like to make. You must choose a recipe from this website: La Tienda  If you were not here, please stop by and pick up a rubric.  Here are the dates:
Day Students:  Sign up for dish on miércoles el 7 de mayo, BRING DISH ON jueves el 15 de mayo
Day Students:  Sign up for dish on jueves el 8 de mayo, BRING DISH ON Viernes el 16 de mayo

The homework for today is Moodle 3 2014.
